Embul-Bul Mixed Day Secondary School is located at Embul-Bul Centre in Ngong Division, Oloolua Ward, Kajiado North Constituency, Kajiado County. The secondary school has a total of ten classes, nine of which were funded by the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF). The NGCDF funded the construction of three classes in 2014, another three classes in 2016, and three more in 2018/2019. The tenth class was funded by the Ministry of Education in April 2017 and was completed in October 2017.
The first group of students was admitted in 2015, and a Project Management Committee (PMC) was set up to oversee the construction of classes and manage the school. Mr. Stephen Muniu, the head teacher of Embul-Bul Primary School, was appointed as the acting head teacher at the inception of the school. Initially, facilities such as toilets were shared with the primary section until 2017 when the NGCDF funded the construction of a ten-door toilet shared by both boys and girls.
In 2015, the school admitted a total of fifty students in Form 1 and had five PMC teachers under the leadership of Mr. Stephen Muniu. The school was registered in 2016 by the Ministry of Education (MOE), and subsequently, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) deployed M/s Salome J Kiplagat as the principal. Currently, the school has a total of 371 students, 16 teachers (15 from TSC and 1 from the Board of Management).
The secondary school and primary school share one compound of 12 acres. The secondary school was allocated four acres, the primary school six acres, and they share a common field of two acres. In November 2016, a school Board of Management was constituted to manage the school, replacing the Project Management Committee.
